"My appointment was with Jayna who walked me into a little waxing room, put the Office on and gave me a towel for modesty and some wipes for cleanliness. She was really good and the entire process was almost completely painfree. Honestly. I was surprised. It was also quick, I was done in less than a half an hour. She had a great attitude, was so friendly, made me feel comfortable and not awkward at all." - J.M

"Erica was a wonderful therapist - not only did we have great conversation but she knew so much about the products and what they do, and was sure to tell me what she was doing as she went through the steps of the facial. I'd reccommend her service to anyone, but maybe not everyone because I want to be sure theres time to book an appointment with her. I felt like she was a bit of a miracle worker - my skin has never looked or felt better. That was my first facial with Erica but it wont be my last." - JM
"Hi Kristen, Just wanted to let you know that I had amazing service at Ten Spot today. I had a waxing appointment booked at 730pm. I called two hours earlier to see if the girls could fit me in for a manicure and pedicure. They weren't able to fit in both (you're too popular!), but they managed to squeeze in a manicure. I had about 45 minutes in between the two appointments. My manicure was fantastic (thanks Ronanda!), and the brazilian was likely one of the best brazilian waxing experiences I've had (thanks Nikki!). (wow... never thought I'd say that about a brazilian!) The time in between was spent at your pedicure station with my feet soaking - hellllo! The girls made me feel so welcome and relaxed. This was not my first time at Ten Spot, but I'll be back more regularly for sure because of this experience. Thanks to everyone." - RK

"Let's be honest, who enjoys completely disrobing in front of a total stranger -- who almost certainly has way less body hair than you do -- and then enduring up to an hour of hot wax and hair tugging? I'd reckon next to no one looks forward to their monthly waxing appointment, but The Ten Spot has made me dread my defuzzing date just a little less! The Ten Spot is meticulously clean - everything from the main room where ladies are getting manis and pedis and watching the Sex And The City movie on a massive plasma TV to the private waxing and facial studios is tidy and spotless. I can't recommend my esthetician Erica enough. She is supremely professional and her attention to detail is peerless - she preps your skin thoroughly, soothes it after every tear (that's "tear" as in "rip", not weeping - there are no tears to be had here) and she will go over your skin with a magnifying glass if necessary to remove every last hair. The waxing rooms are private and as others have mentioned they have TVs with badass DVDs to distract you - I watched an episode and a half of Arrested Development - it was just enough to distract me from what I was doing to my body and to pass the time quickly! Wait a minute - am I actually saying I enjoyed my waxing session? Why yes, yes I am!"
"OK, so Brazilian waxes suck. They are going to suck no matter HOW great the place is. BUT, that said, Ten Spot is the GREATEST place to go get the SCARIEST waxing done. When I went, I got to watch Will & Grace while my hoo-ha (and everything else) was being taken care of. The staff members seem to all have a great sense of humour, while at the same time being extremely professional. The place itself is gorgeous. It's clean, modern, and stacked with great beauty products as well (they carry Cake and Lovefresh, two of my absolute necessities). Go!"
"A luxurious treat for you and also a good choice for a girls day out. I love the vibe because it's relaxed and fun, and the staff is sociable and friendly. Plus, the delicious drinks and DVDs available on hand to distract you if you choose to get waxed, are huge bonuses. 10 Spot also hosts private parties so if it's more than a few of you or you're having a bachelorette party, this place is ideal. Come for the manis, pedis, facials and massages, and stay for the loungy atmosphere, good conversation and gracious service. Also, it's located in one of Toronto's hippest 'hoods -- West Queen West, so after pampering you and your friends can check out some of the city's best shopping and dining along this strip."
"I've been going to the Ten Spot for a while now for pedicures, which have always been great. However, recently I decided to get a facial at the facial bar and get a brazillian. The facial was very relaxing and I totally looked younger for a couple of days afterwards, bonus! The brazillian was the most unscary, tolerable and almost pleasant I've ever had. I watched Arrested Development and chatted with Romana, who was doing the waxing. She was great, as was the hard wax they use."
"Best wax in Toronto. Extremely professional, meticulous and HILARIOUS! A Brazilian costs around $50, and if you get 9, the 10th one is on them. It's a totally unpretentious "hipster"-catering spa, which is clean and on time. I know how difficult a good esthetician is to find...ask for Romana, but I hear they're all good."
